Please
note, the following CDC materials are now included as part of all DEBI
training resources, and are in the folders that trainers provide to
participants at the beginning of all DEBI trainings. (These materials are in addition to the training handouts that are part of the intervention training.)
CDC's Procedural Guidance for CBOs (August 2009)
The CDC's Procedural Guidance for CBOs
was updated and revised in April 2006, in January 2008 and again in
August 2009. The Procedural Guidance gives information to help CBOs
come up with a plan for delivering interventions. The Guidance has
information on each DEBI project intervention and how to make the
interventions work for your CBO (adaptation). It also contains
information on other HIV prevention activities, services, and
strategies, such as Rapid HIV Testing and Comprehensive Risk Counseling

CDC's initiative, Advancing HIV Prevention: New Strategies for a Changing Epidemic,
is aimed at reducing barriers to early diagnosis of HIV infection and
increasing access to quality medical care, treatment, and ongoing
prevention services for those diagnosed with HIV.

implemented, as well as other guidance and information critical to its
success.
